An exciting opportunity exists for two experienced Senior Investment Officers to join a leading South African Development Finance Institution. The successful incumbents will play a key role in the execution of complex infrastructure transactions across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
We are looking for seasoned investment professionals with proven experience in originating, structuring and executing transactions within the infrastructure finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of project finance, corporate finance and structured finance transactions.
Conduct comprehensive commercial, financial, technical and legal due diligence.
Assess the viability and bankability of investment opportunities.
Develop and analyse complex financial models.
Structure and negotiate financing solutions.
Prepare investment memoranda and present transactions to credit and investment committees.
Negotiate term sheets and transaction documentation.
Manage stakeholder relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Monitor transactions through financial close and disbursement.
Minimum Requirements
A postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Business (such as an MBA) or Finance (CA or CFA), or Engineering, or Economics or Actuarial Science.
Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Structured Finance or Investment Banking.
Demonstrated experience in successfully executing and closing infrastructure transactions.
Strong financial modelling and transaction structuring skills.
Experience conducting due diligence and preparing credit or investment committee papers.
Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
