As a key member of the Leadership Team, you'll be reporting to the CIO and primarily located in either Durban, South Africa or Sydney, Australia with a flexible hybrid, working-from-home arrangement available. 

Purpose of the Role

• Through developing a deep understanding of the regional business strategies, objectives, and priorities, you will align I&T initiatives and services to support them effectively.
• Responsible for coordinating the full range of Information and Technology initiatives across the assigned region(s) such that a fully understood portfolio of I&T change is manageable by Regional Executives.
• Act as primary liaison and interface between the regional leadership team, including ELT members, All I&T Programme and Change teams and TS Service Delivery. Proactively contributing to the development of the business by focusing on continuous improvement opportunities, whether through delivery and use of TS-enabled capabilities or the secure use of our systems and data.
• Build an intimate understanding of the Regions’ geographically dispersed businesses, driving global standardization in solutions at an organizational level wherever possible to provide maximum return on investment aligned to the overarching TS strategy.
• Act as an advocate for the Regional customer in the development of, and approval for, the prioritised portfolio of I&T needs. , At the same time promoting understanding and alignment to TS goals and objectives at a global level. 
• The true value comes in being able to influence at the appropriate leadership levels on both sides, bringing together a strong partnership between the Business and TS. Focused on meeting the current, future, expressed and unexpressed demands of the function they support and the business, while maximising returns on I&T investment.

Key areas of responsibility

Strategic Alignment:

• Understand regional business strategies and align IT initiatives with them.
• Prioritize impactful IT initiatives aligning with global TS portfolio.
• Collaborate with Brambles' OCIO and Global CIO for alignment.

Relationship Management:

• Establish strong relationships with regional business leaders.
• Advocate for regional needs within global technology platforms.
• Ensure tailored IT solutions for regional requirements.

TS Service Delivery:

• Oversee delivery of IT services, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify areas for improvement and enhance service delivery.

TS Governance and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with IT principles, policies, and regulations.
• Collaborate for governance processes and risk management.

Regional I&T Planning and Execution:

• Develop and execute regional IT plans aligned with business needs and tech trends.

Resource Management:

• Manage regional IT resources, optimizing allocation to support business priorities.

Stakeholder Communication and Engagement:

• Act as a primary point of contact, facilitating effective communication.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Drive a culture of improvement, implementing emerging technologies for enhanced outcomes

Ideal candidate description

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar, related field
• Masters Degree is preferable
• Experience working across large-scale initiatives, bringing different stakeholder groups together to deliver value
• Significant previous experience within an I&T and/or Business Relationship role
• Experience managing or influencing technical staff and projects at a senior level
• Experience working within a bi-modal delivery environment (i.e. both waterfall and agile methodologies).
• Experience in diverse multi-cultural, matrix corporate cultures
• Proven success in improving the customer experience
• Using information technology in a strategic context to further strategic goals
