    TEMS Administrator - Boksburg

    Position Purpose:

    • Reporting to the Customer Contact Supervisor, the successful applicant will provide a support service for customers in the area.  This role is integral as it is the first point of contact for the customer.  This role is to assist CHEP in building and maintain solid relationships with the customer base.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Maintaining a strong relationship with the customer through query resolution and proactive identification of potential issues
    • Customer account reconciliations
    • Conducting Online Visits and Scheduled calls and providing feedback and corrective recommendations to the customer and Business Manager
    • Identification and Investigation of credit equipment balances
    • Analysis and resolution of suspended movements
    • Investigate and resolve queries from the business & customers.
    • Follow up with customer and business to ensure the recommendations are adhered
    • Accurate processing of client requests on Siebel
    • Electronic System Support to local client base
    • Manage the helpdesk function (if applicable)
    • General office administration such as switchboard, filing and other duties
    • Participate in Team Projects
    • Serve as backup for TEMS and other staff within the team
    • Assist in any other task as delegated by management.

    As a key member of the Leadership Team, you'll be reporting to the CIO and primarily located in either Durban, South Africa or Sydney, Australia with a flexible hybrid, working-from-home arrangement available. 

    Purpose of the Role

    • Through developing a deep understanding of the regional business strategies, objectives, and priorities, you will align I&T initiatives and services to support them effectively.
    • Responsible for coordinating the full range of Information and Technology initiatives across the assigned region(s) such that a fully understood portfolio of I&T change is manageable by Regional Executives.
    • Act as primary liaison and interface between the regional leadership team, including ELT members, All I&T Programme and Change teams and TS Service Delivery. Proactively contributing to the development of the business by focusing on continuous improvement opportunities, whether through delivery and use of TS-enabled capabilities or the secure use of our systems and data.
    • Build an intimate understanding of the Regions’ geographically dispersed businesses, driving global standardization in solutions at an organizational level wherever possible to provide maximum return on investment aligned to the overarching TS strategy.
    • Act as an advocate for the Regional customer in the development of, and approval for, the prioritised portfolio of I&T needs. , At the same time promoting understanding and alignment to TS goals and objectives at a global level. 
    • The true value comes in being able to influence at the appropriate leadership levels on both sides, bringing together a strong partnership between the Business and TS. Focused on meeting the current, future, expressed and unexpressed demands of the function they support and the business, while maximising returns on I&T investment.

    Regional I&T Planning and Execution:

    Ideal candidate description

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar, related field
    • Masters Degree is preferable
    • Experience working across large-scale initiatives, bringing different stakeholder groups together to deliver value
    • Significant previous experience within an I&T and/or Business Relationship role
    • Experience managing or influencing technical staff and projects at a senior level
    • Experience working within a bi-modal delivery environment (i.e. both waterfall and agile methodologies).

    Business Intelligence Reporting & Insights Analyst (Data Analyst)

    Job Description

    CHEP is currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Reporting & Insights Analyst (Data Analyst) to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team! This role reports to the Business Intelligence Manager who is committed to his team members development. The successful candidate can be based in Durban OR Gauteng.

    The BI Reporting and Insight Analyst is responsible for the scoping, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence Products to the business based on business requirements. This includes full stack development from data gathering, ETL implementation, modelling and final production of the Business Intelligence Product.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Engage stakeholders across the regions within the specific function based on business requirements.
    • Translate business requirements into actionable user-friendly business intelligence products for support of strategy and decision making.
    • Translate data from multiple data sources into information and insights to drive decision making at several levels i.ie. data driven decision making.
    • Develop and deploy ETL solutions to extract data from several data sources, transform and load into the warehouse (Amazon (AWS) RDS).
    • Implement the deployment of business intelligence solutions based on guidelines in place.
    • Develop and deploy reports/dashboards and data products as per business needs in IMETA (ensuring data accuracy and stability).
    • Complete documentation about reports/dashboards/data products created to transition the to the business and internal back up plans.
    • Propose enhancements on new/current reports (standardization, usability, workload).
    • Frequently ensure that reports/dashboards/databases are timely updated and in accordance with set standards to ensure business has the most updated in time reports, dashboards, etc.
    • Deliver on various projects at once across various regions for the function/s within the individuals accountability.
    • Assist in the implementation of dashboards, reports and data products within the Business Intelligence product suite.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Qualification: Technology/Statistics/Information Management/ Information Systems/ Financial Management /Computer Science related degree (3-year degree)
    • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role (Business Intelligence analyst/Data Engineer/Data Analyst).
    • Previous business intelligence experience is a non-negotiable specifically in:
    • Experience working with multiple datasets, data modelling and database knowledge (Experience with Amazon RDS is a plus).
    • ETL Experience (Design, development and deployment of ETL processed).
    • Experience in writing SQL queries, developing procedures, functions, etc. within the SQL environment.
    • Experience in merging a variety of datasets into meaning insights and information for decision making.
    • Previously developed business intelligence visualization products specifically PowerBI solutions.
    • Experience translating business requirements into powerful business solutions.
    • Worked with measures and KPIs.
    • Change management.
    • Project management experience (running with priorities, standardization, automation, troubleshooting and short-term planning).
    • SAP Business Objects and SAP BW experience (is a plus)

    TEMS Administrator - Auto - Port Elizabeth

    Purpose of the Role:

    Reporting to the Customer Contact Supervisor, the successful applicant will provide a support service for customers in the area.  This role is integral as it is the first point of contact for the customer. This role is to assist CHEP in building and maintaining solid relationships with the customer base.

    Responsibilities include:

    • General administration and client account reconciliations (query resolution process), inclusive of 
    • Debit Authorisations, THAAs
    • Reconciling of accounts
    • Reconcile Unprocessed THAN list and submit to CCS at month end
    • Credit balance investigations.
    • Accurate filing of client documentation 
    • Managing of suspended and rejected movements
    • Logging of necessary activities and Service Requests in Siebel
    • Logging Collection / Return orders when needed.
    • Log necessary escalations to the business via Siebel
    • Submitting of weekly updates to Supervisor for CHEP management
    • Ensuring all queries are addressed and resolved in accordance with the Business Rules.
    • Entertain a good customer relationship and escalate all relevant issues to CHEP management.
    • Checking of inbound documents validity – equipment, quantities etc. 
    • Outbound process – record keeping
    • Facilitating 1-4-1 exchanges 
    • Identify 1-4-1 exchange clients to be converted Transfer clients where possible.  (If applicable)
    • Yard duties include pallet sorting, inspection of pallet quality and reporting any problems.
    • Stock counts and reconciling of the counts
    • Issues orders
    • Escalate all noncompliance issues to CHEP 
    • Liaise with problem customers to recover outstanding balances.
    • Any other reasonable tasks as delegated by CHEP Management

    Ideal Candidate Requirements:

    • Matric & a Diploma essential, preferably studying towards a business-related Degree.
