The University of Venda is a South African comprehensive rural-based institution, located in Thohoyandou in Limpopo province. It was established in 1982 under the then Republic of Venda government.
A Doctoral degree in Education or equivalent qualification with a specialisation in Mathematics. At least 5 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 7 years’ professional experience in the relevant field. Must have 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals as well as leadership qualities. Must have the ability to manage workload and possess efficient administration skills.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students. Assist the department in developing and improving its curricular. Publishing in accredited journal. Conduct community engagement. To teach using E-learning/online resources/platforms.
LECTURER
Master’s degree in Education or equivalent with a specialisation in Mathematics. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience at tertiary institution or 5 years professional working experience in the relevant field. Ability to use E-learning/online resources/platforms. Publications in peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed journals will serve as an added advantage.
DUTIES
Teach undergraduate and Honours students. Participate in community engagement projects. Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees or task teams and voluntary associations. Development of new programmes and modules at undergraduate level.
