Senior Lecturer : Department of Religion Studies - Faculty of Theology and Religion at University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the subject field of Religion Studies; 
• Conducting scholarly research in the field of Religion Studies;
• Supervising master’s and doctoral students (if the successful candidate has a relevant doctoral degree);
• Mentoring students at the undergraduate level;
• Performing academic administration and management;
• Performing other duties as delegated by the Head of the Department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A relevant doctoral degree or proof of submission thereof;
• At least 3 years’ tertiary experience or related teaching experience;
• At least 3 accredited quality journal publications or an average of 1 article/credit per year for the previous 3 years;
• Evidence of conference papers delivered;
• Experience in academic administration and knowledge of departmental committees.
