Senior Lecturer (Faculty of Engineering & The Built Environment : Mechanical Engineering) at Durban University of Technology

Minimum requirements 

• D-Eng. / D-Tech / PhD qualification in mechanical engineering, with an undergraduate qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years teaching/professional
• Evidence of research and postgraduate research

 Additional requirements

• Strong in the Fluid Mechanics and/or Thermodynamics knowledge area(s)
• Good Publications Record
• Good communication and lecturing skills
• A strong passion for teaching and research
• Professional registration with council

 Summary of duties

• Teaching, assessing and supervision at all levels. 
• Development of learning materials.
• The successful candidate is expected to supervise and/or be actively involved in research
• Assist with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or Representative as delegated.
• Assess experiential training requirements of students.
