Senior Lecturer in Finance at University of Western Cape

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Facilitate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in risk management & modelling, corporate finance, asset markets and pricing
• Conduct research and publish in risk management & modelling, corporate finance, asset markets and pricing
• Undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Provide academic leadership and administration
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Participate in community engagement and outreach
• Other related duties assigned by the chair of the department

Minimum Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in the field of finance or economics or related field
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in the field of risk management & modelling, corporate finance, asset markets or pricing
• A record of publications in the field of risk management & modelling, corporate finance, asset markets or pricing
• A record of successful postgraduate supervision at Honours and Masters level
• Demonstrated competence in community engagement
