The University of Venda is a South African comprehensive rural-based institution, located in Thohoyandou in Limpopo province. It was established in 1982 under the then Republic of Venda government.
PhD/Doctor in Social Work. At least 5 years' teaching experience at a tertiary institution, or 7 years’ professional experience in the relevant field. Must have 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals as well as leadership qualities. Must have the ability to manage workload and possess efficient administration skills. Proof of current registration with SA Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP). Valid standard motor vehicle driver’s license.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise Honours, Masters and PhD students. Assist the department in developing and improving its curricular. Publishing in accredited journal. Conduct community engagement. To teach using E-learning/online resources/platforms.
LECTURER
Master’s degree in Social Work. A minimum of 3 years' teaching experience at tertiary institution or 5 years' professional working experience in the relevant field. Ability to use E-learning/online resources/platforms. Publications in peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed journals will serve as an added advantage. Proof of current registration with SA Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP). Valid standard motor vehicle driver’s license.
DUTIES
Teach undergraduate and Honours students. Participate in community engagement projects. Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees or task teams and voluntary associations. Development of new programmes and modules at undergraduate level.
JUNIOR LECTURER
