• PhD in Mine surveying
• At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
• At least 5 years teaching experience at tertiary institution, or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
• At least 5 publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals.

Duties:

• Teaching at the undergraduate level and supervision of postgraduate students.
• Leadership and active participation in development and review of curricular for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Conducting active research programmes in collaboration with others within and outside the department.
• Publishing research results in accredited, high-impact national and international journals.
• Effectively involvement in community engagement activities of the department
• Mentoring and couching of junior staff.
