Job Purpose    

• Improving and growing a business, by fostering and developing relationships with customers, suppliers and partners. Involved in strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or to enhance the operation of the department, position and reputation.

This post reports to DEPUTY HEAD (AGRI-BUSINESS)

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Implement operational level strategies in order to improve coherence and alignment of action plans with the overall strategic plan.
• Manage establishment and implementation of an effective accessible fair and accountable business processes.
• Identify, secure and, maintains networks and partnerships by assessing the activities of other developmental agencies, Council department etc.
• Implement specific administrative and reposting requirements associated with execution of deliverables relating to functional activities.
• Manage and disseminate strategic, functional and operational information on the immediate, short and long term objectives, and current developments, challenges or constraints.
• Develops, implements and monitor appropriate and robust short term tactical project based on the Departmental long term plans.
• Directs and controls outcomes associated with recruitment, utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Department.

Essential Requirements    

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Agricultural Management or Agricultural Economics or Agriculture or Business Studies or related field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 6 years relevant experience in the Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) support in the Agriculture sector.
• Computer Literacy

Preferred Requirements    

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Agricultural Management or Agricultural Economics or Agriculture or Business Studies or related field.
• 7 years relevant experience in the Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) support in the Agriculture sector.
