Senior Manager: Group Information Security Operations Center (GSOC) at MTN

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job: 

• The Senior Manager Group Information Security Operations Centre is responsible for the entire process of developing and maintaining the capability to manage Security Operations and incidents within MTN so that exposure can be contained and recovery achieved within a specified time objective. The focus of this role is to embed security measures across the OpCo’s, to drive a culture of proactive threat identification and incident management.

Job Specifications/ Minimum & Preferred Requirements

Education:

Essential

• 4 year Engineering/ Information Science Degree
• Masters in Information Science is preferred
• CISSP certification

Preferred

• Other preferred certifications are: GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, CISM, ITIL, OSCP

Work Experience:

Essential

• 10-12 years of relevant work experience in Information Technology (specifically security)
• 2-3 years of experience at the Senior Management level in the telecom industry
• 2-3 years working experience in managing information security in a large organisation
• Experience in managing and implementing large scale information security projects
• Experience working in Africa and Middle East and have a grasp of political, social, infrastructure and integrity challenges
• Advanced working understanding of the information technology environment of a telecom company
• Developing and managing a Security Operations Centre Training

Preferred:

• Telecommunications industry experience
