    Senior Manager: Human Resources Business Partnering

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:

    • The Senior Manager Human Resources Business Partnering (SM HRBP) leads the Business Unit HR frontline implementation, enablement and delivery of the people agenda. The Senior Manager will lead the implementation of sustainable and best in class human resources activities within the Business Unit with a focus on performance improvement as well as operational and commercial excellence.

    Key Job Responsibilities:

    • The Senior Manager Business Partnering will be accountable to achieve the following objectives within the business or functional unit:
    • Lead the creation of the functional / business unit people strategy in line with the overarching business goals
    • Ensure effective implementation of the people strategy by means of providing direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps
    • Build and manage a high performing team by providing leadership, role clarity, training and career development
    • Continually develop a culture of strong collaboration and effective team working
    • Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program
    • Actively participate in HR and functional / business unit leadership team and develop skills of own team
    • Promote a ‘MTN centric’ and ‘partnership approach’ to develop strong relationships with other working groups and ensure adherence to governance
    • Drive Business Unit transformation initiatives, elicit inputs from relevant parties
    • Drive adequate risk mitigation and controls and elicit inputs from relevant parties
    • Escalate issues that will result in severe time, scope, productivity, and cost or resource impact
    • Develop, manage and finalise objectives, targets and budgets for own area of operations as applicable in line with business unit objectives and goals
    • Establish and promote a collaborative and solution oriented approach within the function / Business Units as well as with all the HR functions and Group HR

    Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements
    Education:

    • Minimum of 4 year tertiary degree (specialization in Management/Human Resources/Behavioural Sciences as appropriate)
    • MBA or Masters (advantageous)

    Work Experience:

    • Manager track record of 5 years or more
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR domain with extensive exposure spanning across HR generalist or operations roles and/or one or more specialist roles in talent, learning, performance and organizational development
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Experience in Telecom Business will be advantageous
