    Senior Manager: Marketing Communications

    About the job
    Purpose of the Role: 

    • To manage, develop, implement, the marketing and communication strategies to enhance the bank's brand presence and customer engagement. Responsible for internal and identified external communication of the Bank. Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to enhance the bank’s visibility. Manage press releases and media inquiries to promote positive coverage of the bank's initiatives and achievements.

    Role Responsibilities: 

    Communication strategies

    • Formulate communication strategies that align with the bank's overall goals and target audience needs
    • Integrate various communication channels to create a cohesive and effective message delivery system
    • Utilize market research and customer insights to refine messaging and engagement tactics
    • Manage the development of a content strategy that supports the bank’s brand and objectives
    • Ensure content is engaging, relevant, and distributed through appropriate channels
    • Optimise the use of different communication channels including digital, social media, print, and events, to enhance reach and impact
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of each channel and adjust strategies as needed

    Campaign Execution

    • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the bank's offerings and values.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence
    • Establish metrics to evaluate the success of communication strategies and campaigns.
    • Use data analytics to inform decision-making and refine strategies for improved outcomes
    • Implement campaigns across multiple channels, such as social media, email, print, and events
    • Tailor messaging and content for each channel to maximize audience engagement and reach

    Internal and External Communication

    • Coordinate internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged with the bank’s objectives and initiatives
    • Develop communication strategies that align with organizational changes and updates
    • Communicate the bank’s strategy, focus areas and values, and ensure continuous reinforcement
    • Partner with divisions to increase engagement of our people across the bank
    • Ensure all communication is leading edge and professional
    • Manage and quality control all internal publications, platforms and mediums including intranet and social media
    • Implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential risks to the bank’s reputation
    • Strategically position and raise the profile of the business in the public domain using websites, social media platforms and public relations (both financial and consumer related)
    • Act as first point of contact for the media and act as a liaison between media and relevant consultant

    Stakeholder management and collaboration

    • Engage with various stakeholders, including customers, partners, and community leaders, to promote the bank’s mission and values
    • Organize events and speaking engagements to enhance stakeholder relationships
    • Develop clear and consistent communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed about the bank’s activities and initiatives
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, using this information to enhance the bank’s offerings and strategies

    Management of resources

    • Develop and maintain staff costs and budgets
    • Manage and develop subordinate(s): Performance management in terms of contracting, reviews and poor performers, Training and development, Employee relations
    • Manage people efficiencies through leave management, headcount budget, fixed term contracts, staff movements, secondments, staff utilization
    • Take appropriate disciplinary measures as required
    • Facilitate induction of new staff within one month of joining the organization
