Senior Manager Technology & Data Analytics at Anglo American

Job Summary
We are currently seeking to employ a Section Manager Technology & Data Analytics to join our Kumba Iron Ore family at our Kolomela operation in Postmasburg. This is a key role within the Integrated planning team where you will be responsible to:

• Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities
• Collect and summarise the specific risks within working area and implement plans/system to avoid these risks
• Work closely with other developers, business and technology analysts
• Develop a technology roadmap in line with new trends and drafting of technical documents, training materials and operating manuals
• Participate in stakeholders’ engagements as relevant to discipline and act consistently with sustainability expectations
• Implement management processes for employee & contractor management within work area
• Manage compliance of the teams within work area with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) local requirements as a minimum level of site performance
• Be involved in new technology such as run technology operation readiness within the mine
• Bring about change management & infrastructure in Technology & Data analytics

This role is in the Technical Management Department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Manager Integrated Planning and Operating Model

Qualifications
You will need the following:

• A Bachelor’s Degree, B-Tech in Computers science, Data Analytics & Industrial
• Engineering or equivalent NQF level 7 Qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in implementing new Technology and Data Analytics
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Medically fit
• Valid driver’s license
