    Senior Marketing Associate, SSA

    We’re looking for a Marketing Associate to own world-class integrated marketing efforts that create brand impact and drive growth for Uber Eats in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. You will report to the Head of Marketing, Uber Eats SSA, working closely with cross-functional regional stakeholders (Comms, Policy, Ops and CommOps) to bring our products and brand strategy to life in-market. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced and rewarding environment within one of the biggest food delivery businesses globally.

    More specifically, you will be responsible for defining regional priorities in alignment with global priorities, owning region-specific marketing efforts, as well as managing activations of global toolkits to fuel consumer demand and drive brand strength.

    What You’ll Do

    • Develop a deep understanding of regional priorities (business targets, P&L priorities, segmentation, priority markets)
    • Manage implementation of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring a high degree of excellence from start to finish;
    • Identify uniquely local marketing opportunities aligned with business priorities (major events, brand partnerships, sponsorships, seasonal moments, social, and restaurant co-marketing etc) and deliver campaigns or activations against them;
    • Drive cohesive execution of campaigns, activations, and product launches; working closely with cross-functional teams and restaurant partners on both strategic planning and execution;
    • Engage in stakeholder management across the organization and brand partners, including restaurant brands, influencers, and business partnerships;
    • Work closely with agency partners to manage the development and execution of localized work
    • Maximize awareness and growth in your markets in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including local Ops, product, support, sales, and PR team;
       

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related discipline. Advanced degree is advantageous
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer marketing, brand marketing, or related experience with a successful record of delivering work with measurable business results on time and on budget;
    • Experience leading the development and execution of strategic marketing plans and integrated marketing campaigns, application of research/insights, global brand strategy, equity positioning, channel & comms planning, and campaign measurement/reporting
    • Creative, open and curious. You’re full of fresh ideas to generate user growth and promote the brand;
    • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills;
    • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • An energetic team player and project manager with a collaborative spirit and the ability to influence and unify the cross-functional team, peers, and leaders
    • Preferred action and skilled focus on ensuring results
