Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer at Boardroom Appointments

Minimum Requirements:

• B-Tech: Information Technology (Required)
• 5 years relevant Oracle 12c/19c database development experience
• 3 years relevant MySQL database development experience
• Good technical understanding of data modelling, design and architecture principles and techniques
• Expert understanding of Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience in high data volume environments
• Expert understanding of SQL
• Good documentation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
• Professional and effective communication skills
• Ability to work within a technical team comprised of internal and external resources
• Ability to plan and organize development work and deliverables
• Understanding of the full SDLC
• Disciplined approach to code maintenance

Advantageous Competencies:

• Telecommunications experience.
• Cloud Experience
• AWS RDS & Aurora

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of tactical design
• Requirements analysis and specification design at a system/enterprise level
• Effort estimates and impact analysis for self and others in line with organization objectives
• Development in PL/SQL and MySQL
• Unit testing of developed code
• Code Reviews of development done in PL/SQL and MySQL
• Document reviews
• Design & Implement Data Management strategies which include validation of source data and the use of data in management Reporting
• Knowledge sharing with team
• 3rd line support
• Development of Functional Specifications and Technical specifications
• Assist with proposals to client
• Attend project meetings and supply updates on progress
• Responsible for the performance and delivery of team members
• Mentor and grow juniors
