Senior Processs Supervisor Operations (M Hay band) at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

To ensure that water quality standards are maintained and daily potable water supply is met, by constant supervision of shifts, therefore meeting water demand required to supply customer consumption.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12(National Senior Certificate)
• Class V Process Controller Classification 
• National Diploma in Water Care, or equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years plant experience (Minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity)
• Valid Code B Driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test.
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of the OHS Act and its application.
• Operation H.V electrical equipment, dosing pumps and large pumping units
• Water purification experience essential
• Supervisory Development Programme/New Management Programme is an added advantage.

Primary Duties    

• Supervise and control the potable water process.
• Supervise, control, motivate, train and develop staff on shift.
• Supervise and control equipment and generate month-end reports.
• Responsible for pipeline isolations as required, and H.V.  switching and lock –out system.
• Comply with existing Rand Water’s safety systems and procedures.

Knowledge    

• Operations or maintenance of HV equipment, dosing pumps and large pumping units.
• Water purification and treatment process.
