Senior Product Owner at Lulalend

• The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of banking products and services with a proven track record in product ownership.
• This role will see you collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage our product backlog, ensuring we deliver a best-in-class product. Working collaboratively with Product Design, Marketing, Data Science & Engineering, you will be responsible for our product and its end-to-end features. We’re looking to build a high quality frictionless, beautiful end-to-end digital experience, helping SMEs thrive in a tough market. These products, services and features need to be seamless, considerate and WOW.

Responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Marketing, Data Science and Engineering Teams to deliver high quality products, features & services for our customers, meeting our business goals
• Work closely with our customers and the markets to understand their needs and gather feedback on product features
• Define and prioritise product features and requirements based on market research, customer feedback and stakeholder input
• Develop and maintain the product backlog that align with the Product roadmap and company's vision and strategy
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation
• Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including product planning, testing and release
• Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimise product features and drive user engagement
• Ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Communicate product vision and status to all stakeholders
• Continuously assess and improve product processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Matric/Grade 12 achieved
• 3+ years of working experience as a Product Owner, with a focus on banking products and services
• Product owner certification an added bonus
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validating product hypotheses
• Experience defining, prioritising and communicating a product roadmap across the organisation
• Managing and building out a backlog with a focus on iterative and continuous delivery
• Experience building products iteratively by applying lean principles and focusing on MVPs
• Hands-on experience working with Engineering teams in an Agile environment with an understanding of agile development process
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Technical acumen and genuine passion for technology
• Understanding of core concepts related to UI/UX design
• Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello is a plus
