A leading financial services group is seeking a Senior Project Manager (contract) within its technology and business change division based in Cape Town. The role involves managing large-scale, high-value IT and business projects-particularly infrastructure and cloud-based initiatives-while ensuring alignment with approved business cases. Key responsibilities include risk and budget management, agile team setup, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and facilitating transitions to operational support.
Key Requirements:
8+ years' experience managing large-scale projects in financial services.
Strong background in cloud infrastructure (especially AWS), agile methodologies, and multi-vendor environments.
Experience with business case development, legacy system migration, and use of project tools like JIRA.
Relevant IT or Project Management qualification.
Strong leadership, analytical, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
