Senior Project Manager: Developments (SA and ROA) - Johannesburg at Nedbank

Job Purpose

• To deliver world class technical services, creating efficiencies through digitisation and proptech and providing excellent advisory to all on development projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for proptech initiatives either implemented or PoC’s with the aim of adoption within the business and for clients
• Scope the market, internationally for leading edge technology that can be adopted in the build environment
• Develop and enhance the green and sustainable reporting with technical metrics during construction
• Provide advisory to stakeholder on green buildings 
• Facilitate the development loan process and ensure that construction projects are completed in line with approval and specifications provided to the Bank. 
• Ensure that pro-active contact is maintained with developers, joint venture partners, and builders to keep abreast of the overall project status. 
• Driving the Project Management approach and appropriate methodologies and thereby guiding Credit Risk through viability and cost assessments, pre condition scrutiny and the drawdown process during development.
• Keep up to date with changes in building/development costs, viability, financing, structuring of development loans and management of property developments. 
• Client Service: Build and maintain relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
• Support the team in complex assignments and projects in line with needs of the PF business.
• Enhance the advisory role of Project Managers to all stakeholders.
• Provide technical opinions, expertise and decision making to stakeholders
• Mentoring and coaching of Project Managers to attract, retain and develop young talent.
• Entrench PF as an industry leader in Project Management.
• Continuously develop and enhance automation of processes to create efficiencies in team and across the national team.
• Enhance the advisory role of the Project management  to stakeholders
• Understand and implement digitisation as appropriate, in line with the business and operations objectives. 
• Advise on and monitor all sustainable elements on the building during construction

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

• Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
• Diploma

Preferred Qualification

• BSc Degree with a preference for Quantity Surveying/ Construction Management essential

Preferred Certification

• SACQSP registration professional registration
• Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS)
• RICS registration would be advantageous
• Green building professional would be advantageous

Minimum Experience Level

• 10 years' experience in building and property development experience in commercial Property Finance, including a working knowledge of town planning criteria and environmental legislation would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience in Green/ Sustainable buildings.
• Management/ Leadership experience would be an advantage.
