Senior Project Manager at Ovations Technologies

Job Description:

• This is a 12 - month contract with our client in the banking sector.
• We are seeking a versatile Senior Project Manager with to drive the execution of medium-sized strategic projects for our client in the banking sector. This cross-disciplinary role spans multiple environments—including IT, engineering, and property—requiring an adaptable leader who can blend traditional project governance with deep Agile expertise.

Key Responsibilitie;

• End-to-End Delivery: Manage medium-sized projects from commencement to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, governance, and timelines
• Agile Execution & Mentorship: Partner with Product Managers to translate epics and stories into actionable sprint tasks; run weekly facilitation and retrospective sessions; coach and mentor junior staff on Agile best practices.
• Stakeholder & Change Management: Map and manage diverse stakeholder groups, lead business change impact assessments (processes, systems, roles), and maintain transparent reporting using quality metrics.
• Financial & Scope Control: Ensure accurate cost estimation, manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and maintain strict traceability of defined business benefits.

Requirements

• Experience: 7 to 10 years of project management experience leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary initiatives.
• Agile Expertise: Deep operational knowledge of Agile frameworks, backlog refinement, and software delivery mechanics.
• Stakeholder Mastery: Proven ability to navigate complex corporate environments, facilitate diverse groups, and manage change cycles.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong background in scoping, resource allocation, budget management, and project governance.
