They are actively looking for 2 x Senior Project Managers to join their Financial Technology and Financial Operations teams in Cape Town on a contract basis.
Opportunity 1:

• Their Financial Technology project focuses on reviewing their technology solutions to better enable the company’s finance function. As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing 2 workstreams focussed on migrating current Finance and Actuarial technology to the cloud from on-premises infrastructure.
• You will be required to run such initiatives from the BUSINESS side – helping business teams to understand what needs to happen, impacts, risks etc – whilst being able to hold the line with IT.

To apply, you need to have:

• AProject Management qualification;
• Solid track record in project management oftechnology projects, from the BUSINESS perspective;
• Experience incloud migration projects – preferably AWS migrations from on-premises infrastructure; and,
• Experience with Finance/Actuarial systems projects and/or come from aFinance/Actuarial background.

Opportunity 2:

• Their Finance Operations project focuses on making changes to their cost allocation models to enable their business segments to comply with IFRS 17. You will be required to do a lot of coordination with various teams to enable these changes.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Strong integration and dependency management skills – cannot just focus on own scope;
• Strong driver – comfortable with having tough conversations and holding own and other teams to account;
• Low ego/high EQ; and,
• Strong cognitive ability to pick up a reasonable amount of complex subject matter quickly – sufficient to understand what projects you are managing.
