    Senior Project Manager

    MAIN PURPOSE

    To manage and deliver large/complex projects from opportunity phase through to review phase (benefits realisation), this includes relationship management of key business stakeholders. To ensure that projects successfully meet their objectives and produce the desired results to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To define, plan, manage and implement complex business/IT projects/ programmes within WFS from requirements gathering to operational readiness and handover.
    • To deliver projects within the agreed time, cost and quality objectives, aligned to a benefits realization plan.
    • To manage all project stakeholders, including external third parties to deliver the agreed objectives.
    • To adhere to WFS project management governance processes and continuously improves.
    • To work with Development Teams and IT to define effective solutions and jointly deliver projects within the above defined parameters.
    • To actively identify risks within projects and use effective risk management and reduction techniques.
    • To define and manage project budgets.
    • To transfer project management skills to others within the organisation.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

    • 3 year IT degree or diploma (i.e. BSc Information Management and/or Information Systems.
    • Formal project management qualification (Diploma, PMP or PRINCE2) and/or financial qualification will be a strong advantage.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Minimum –5 + years relevant experience and leading and delivering successful IT projects including clear track record of delivering significant business change
    • Strong Financial services background, with a min of 5 years leading teams in this sector
    • Large Regulatory and Compliance project experience
    • Digital/Cloud management experience highly beneficial.
    • Experience in services industry (retail)advantageous
    • Change and process management experience
    • Commercial awareness and willingness to engage on commercial aspects of projects
    • Experience of system upgrades and/or migrations would be an advantage
