Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Equal Experts

Description

We’re looking for contract QA Engineers with proven senior-level experience to join the Equal Experts network.

At Equal Experts, testing is not carried out within a vacuum; our QAs form a core part of the delivery team throughout an engagement, ensuring that relevant tests are fully considered, designed and performed at the appropriate points.

This is a role combining an engineering background with a consultative approach, helping clients and delivery teams to understand why, how and when to ensure code is as thoroughly understood as possible.

We look for solid working knowledge of the scope and limitations of different test types, as well as the ability to write test scripts and implement automated tests.

Required Skills

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Ability to help the team determine and put in place a testing strategy
• Solid practical experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium and Postman)
• Understanding of common testing patterns (e.g., test automation pyramid and page object model)
• Demonstrable experience with source control tooling
• Awareness of testing concepts and practices (including testability and observability)
• Experience with:
• test data management
• user story creation and refinement
• agile and technical practices (e.g., Test Driven Development or Continuous Integration)
• build automation servers (e.g., Jenkins)
• build tools (e.g., Maven)
• Docker or other virtualisation tooling
• Awareness of other testing types such usability or accessibility
