Senior Quantity Surveyor at Boxer Superstores

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in property development, preferably within the FMCG retail sector.
• Proven track record in cost management, contract negotiation, and budget control.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and cost estimating tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Membership in a relevant professional association is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of cost feasibilities, approximate estimates, cost planning, Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Schedule of Rates all in accordance with relevant standards.
• Management, preparation and updating of standard cost databases and profiles.
• Management in the preparation of financial reviews in accordance with the senior members of staff’s requirements.
• Cost & Budget Management: Oversee project costs and conduct detailed quantity surveying to ensure projects stay on budget and on schedule.
• Contract & Procurement: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors, create accurate cost estimates, and manage Bills of Quantities.
• Project Coordination & Risk Management: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to monitor financial aspects and mitigate cost-related risks.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, driving continuous improvement in cost control and efficiency.
