    Senior Research Technician: Data Collector

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct interviews with study participants and check the co enrolment database
    • Capture and collect Data whilst maintaining quality control, in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Principles
    • Administration, check Study related documentation, quality control/assurance and indexing of informed consent documents for study participants
    • Assist with data cleaning as designated by the relevant study Principal Investigator/ site manager
    • Prepare study documents, complete and address related queries
    • Assist with translations of research-related documents
    • Create and update study specific logs
    • Assist in providing information to relevant managers for report writing and provide required weekly/monthly individual reports
    • Assist with participant follow-up
    • Plan meetings and/or workshops and prepare minutes for review
    • Assist with re-imbursement of participants, completing re-imbursement logs and preparation for finance reconciliation.

    Core Requirements:

    • Grade 12 / matric or similar relevant qualification or higher
    • 1-2 years relevant experience in research or related environment
    • 1- 2 years Data collection experience
    • 1- 2 years Data entry experience
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong computer skills in MS Office packages
    • Fluent in English and isiZulu

    Advantageous:

    • Post Matric qualifications in any research related field
    • A Code 8 manual driver’s licence
    • Effective organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
    • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
    • Willing to work outside normal working hours when required.
