Senior RPA Developer at Dimension Data

Automation Architect consults with internal clients about the technology environment with medium to high complexity. They translate business requirements into technology terms and develop more complex algorithms and programming code for software solutions.

The primary objective of the Automation Architect is to design, test, implement and maintain software code that enables computer systems to perform specific tasks. They assist in determining how technology can be applied to meet client needs.

Job Description

• Act as both senior developer and Solutions Architect for all automation projects
• Work with BAs to spec and size potential work and to ensure acceptance/test criteria is understood and clear
• Mentor BAs as to what is expected before development work will be taken on
• Own Enterprise Hub (ideation platform)
• Mentor more junior members of the team as well as interns
• Be able to build automation as a team and split tasks based on the capabilities of team members
• Cross-train with BI front end and back end teams, learning and teaching
• Research, propose and implement better ways of accomplishing tasks/processes/code
• Research next level technologies that would be beneficial (especially ML and AI)
• Research and potentially implement technologies that would enable automation, like form-based platforms or mobile applications.
• Stay up to date with current technology/platform and motivate, plan and implement, by  driving and assisting team, these changes where they are beneficial for the company
• Quality check code (code review) and ensure automation processes fit into the current architecture
• Work with product owner/product manager on the roadmap
• Be part of the Agile team and complete projects on ScaledAgile methodology
• Through interaction with business, BAs and colleagues, identify automation possibilities
• Present to non-technical audiences’ automation that have been completed
• Ensure all development is done with security principles in mind

Requirements & Certifications

• BSC computer science
• L3 UiPath advanced developer certification – non-negotiable
• At least 2 years UiPath programming experience – non-negotiable
• UiPath Solution Architecture Diploma – non-negotiable
• Ability to write advanced SQL queries – strongly preferred
• C#, Python, Java, Swift/Xcode would be an advantage
