Senior SAP SD S/4Hana Consultant – FMCG at Salt South Africa

Role Summary

• We are seeking a Senior SAP SD Consultant to support ongoing SAP S/4HANA initiatives within a complex, multi-site environment.
• The role requires strong hands-on configuration expertise, particularly in packaging materials and handling units, as well as the ability to lead teams and support end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in integration, solution design, and delivery across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities
SAP SD Configuration & Solution Design
Configure and optimise SAP SD processes within S/4HANA

Work extensively with:

• Packaging materials
• Handling units
• Sales and distribution processes
• Design and implement complex pricing procedures, tax configurations, and intercompany processes

Order-to-Cash (O2C)
Manage and optimise full O2C cycle, including:

• Sales orders
• Deliveries
• Billing and invoicing
• Ensure seamless integration across all stages of the sales lifecycle

Integration
Lead and support integration with:

• Production Planning (PP)
• Materials Management (MM)
• Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO)
• Work with APIs and other integration methods within S/4HANA

Leadership & Delivery

• Provide team leadership and guidance to functional and cross-functional teams
• Support project delivery across multiple regions and sites
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure requirements are met

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with business and IT teams across different geographies
• Support workshops, requirement gathering, and solution alignment

Required Skills & Experience
Essential

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration (S/4HANA)

Proven experience with:

• Packaging materials
• Handling units
• Solid team lead / leadership experience
• Strong integration knowledge across:
• Production Planning (PP)
• Materials Management (MM)
• Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO)
• Deep understanding of the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process

Experience with:

• Complex pricing procedures
• Tax configuration
• Intercompany processes
• Exposure to SAP integrations (APIs)

Nice to Have

• Experience working in multi-country / multi-site environments
• Exposure to large-scale SAP transformation programmes
