The School invites applications for a social worker or counselling psychologist to join our senior school counselling team commencing 1 May 2024 or thereafter.

The successful applicant should be:

• suitably qualified and registered (and in good standing) with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and/or South African Council for Social Service Professions
• experienced as an psychologist/social worker, particularly within a High School environment and passionate about working with adolescent girls and their families
• able to assess the psycho-social well being of adolescent girls within the educational context and make recommendations to parents, teachers and other service providers
• able to develop and apply effective interventions to promote the psychological well-being, social, emotional and behavioural development of the teenager
• Sound knowledge of the Children's Act and an understanding of child protection matters, policies and procedure
• able to subscribe to the Catholic ethos of Springfield Convent School
