Senior Security Analyst - Sandton at Core Group

Purpose of the role

• The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing security processes, monitoring network activity, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical leadership and support to clients, focussing on Microsoft Security solutions. This role will be focussing on external customers and support in multiple projects. 

Responsibilities

• Support to client relating to all requirements of security.
• Maintains security documentation, hardening systems, and review of all systems used in daily operations.
• Develops and maintains SOP’s for maintaining security of equipment and information.
• Analysing security breaches for root causes.
• Conducting security assessments through testing and risk analysis.
• Supporting implementation of new systems.
• Project Management
• Provides direction, coordination, assistance and training support to internal and external stakeholders.

 Required skills and qualifications

• Completed degree or certificates in IT and security related fields.
• Certification in CISSP, Azure Security (AZ-900, AZ-500, MS-500) is essential.
• Proven experience in security analyst or similar position for at least 5 years.
• Experience working in a consulting firm, looking after clients is desired.
• Project management experience
• Experience within large and small enterprise space would be an advantage.
