Senior Services Technician at Woodlands Dairy

• We’re seeking a skilled Senior Services Technician to maintain and optimize critical factory utilities. This role combines advanced technical expertise with leadership and safety compliance, ensuring smooth operations and mentoring junior staff.

Key Performance Areas

• Advanced maintenance and troubleshooting of MV/LV electrical systems, boilers, compressors, refrigeration, HVAC, and water/wastewater plants
• Equipment monitoring, optimization, and commissioning/upgrades
• Strict adherence to safety protocols (hazardous chemicals, ammonia plant response, permits to work)
• Leadership and mentorship of junior technicians, supporting planning and task allocation
• Accurate documentation, reporting, and collaboration with departments and contractors

Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum: Grade 12 + Trade Qualification (Electrical, Mechanical/Fitter, or Millwright) + N4 Technical Qualification + 8 years’ experience
• Preferred: NQF4 Supervisory, MV Switching Certification, N5 Technical Qualification, 10+ years’ experience including water treatment & E&I field
• Strong technical expertise across utilities systems (electrical, mechanical, water, steam, refrigeration, HVAC)
• Proficient in CMMS, spare parts management, and root cause analysis
• Safety certifications (Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Fighting, Ammonia Plant Response, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and time management skills
• Ability to work shifts, standby duties, and in demanding environments
