Senior Software Developer

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a senior developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. 

Responsibilities

• Presenting ideas for system improvements, developing programmes according to specifications and business process requirements.
• Working closely with stakeholders with regards to their systems requirements for their teams.
• Manage large automation projects, from understanding business requirements, working with various systems and stakeholders, to implementation and improvements.
• Utilize various open source technologies
• Use various tools to orchestrate solutions
• Build independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions
• Producing detailed specifications and planning documentation
• Coding of applications, scripts (for automation), and internal systems.
• Maintenance and upkeep of internal databases.
• Testing of programmes before the system goes live
• Preparation of training manuals for users
• Maintaining the system once up and running
• Maintaining infrastructure where applications and systems are deployed. 

Minimum Requirements for the position

Education:

• Revelant IT qualification

Experience:

• 5 - 8 years experience within a development environment.
• 3 years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure
• 3 years of hands-on experience at least in one scripting language
• 3 years of hands-on experience at least in one object-orientated language
• 3 years of hands-on experience with databases including MySQL, PostGres, and Mongo.
