Senior Specialist: Organisational Development at Liberty Group South Africa

Purpose

To define, design, scope, implement and monitor business line-wide, fit-for-purpose OD solutions collaborating with relevant stakeholders to enable and support leaders at all levels to optimise leadership and team performance.

Minimum Experience

• 5 - 8 years experience in a similar environment, of which 2 - 3 years at specialist level

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters Degrees (coursework and research) [NQF Level 09] in Human Resources

Additional Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum requirement - Registered Industrial Psychologist

Critical Job

• 12 Months Contract
• Deep knowledge of psychological safety and growth mindset theory and principles is required.
• Understanding team dynamics post organisational mergers.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the improvement of quality, service and work outputs, continuously recommending improvements.
• Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to the area of specialisation.
• Proactively identify area of specialisation related problems, determine cause and effect and recommend the best option to implement corrective action based on previous experience.
• Apply a structured methodology, whilst implementing culture-change programmes, initiatives and activities by assessing the requisite needs and develop appropriate customised actions to deploy.
• Ensure alignment to the Organisational Development plan.
• Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics for organisational development projects
• Drive deliverables for the effective implementation of the organisational development framework and strategies.
• Strengthen teams by facilitating leadership effectiveness, team effectiveness and team dynamics journeys in senior leadership teams in the business lines
• Support the business-line activation and lead the sustainment
• Lead behavioural research, data collection and insights in the business line to inform managerial reporting, solution design and build.

Customer

• Provide sound consulting services and recommendations based on customer and client needs, current information and trends analyses.
• Provide specialist expertise and advice to internal/external customers, that builds strong relationships and creates a favourable impression aligned to Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) principles.
• Upskill People and Culture Community in Organisational Development practices
• Support the BP's and line leaders with driving behaviour related BAU initiatives such as shifting mindsets and ways of working regarding e.g. performance management, 360 assessments,etc.
• Support the business-line activation of Group and Business Unit initiatives.
• Equip and engage leaders with OD tools and approaches
• Engage and support senior leadership as well as People and Culture DE's and BP's.
