Senior Specialist: Reporting & Governance at Vodafone Global Enterprise

Role Purpose
This Group Network Support role will be responsible for providing support within the group network team for an executive grade, cross-network domain reporting, insights, and presentations both for regular and ad-hoc requirements. Provide advanced expertise in the areas of data analytics and automation. Drive reporting and network information automation within-group networks. Liaison with both internal and external parties and stakeholders on all network KPI, target, and reporting requirements.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Creation of and support with executive-level reporting and presentations as and when required.
• Liaison with CTO’s office and other stakeholders to ensure presentation, reporting, and other such requirements are well understood and met.
• Implementation and maintenance of automated, group level, network performance reporting for all Vodacom OpCo’s.
• Integration and implementation of cross-functional analytics, insights, and reporting.
• Support with network performance analysis and recommendations that ensure optimal performance.
• Support network benchmarking analysis and improvement initiatives using network statistics or other data sets.
• Support customer experience analytics and provide actionable insights toward improvement initiatives.
• Support Ad hoc investigations and analytics for various business requirements.
• Ensure alignment to and maintenance of Vodafone/Vodacom quality standards and best practices regarding reporting and automation.
• Engagement with NOC and Big Data teams to ensure network information requirements are met, collected, and maintained.
• Extensive engagement with cross-functional International OpCo network teams, ANOC, and Vodafone performance management teams.
• Drive delivery of outputs and ensure accurate and timeous network reporting - aligned throughout all partner markets.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric/ Grade 12 is essential.
• Minimum 3-year Degree/Diploma or BSc Engineering or B.Eng. or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
• GSM/RAN/LTE end-to-end network architecture, basics, and fundamentals.
• At least 3 to 5 years in the telecommunications industry.
• 3 to 5 years of exposure to GSM, UMTS, and LTE mobile telecommunication technologies.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• SQL and relational database experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in mobile network analysis, investigation, and research.
• Cross-domain mobile network exposure.
• Exposure to vendors across domains, Huawei/Nokia/Tellabs/Cisco.
• Experience using network analysis and optimization tools such as Netact, U2020, Actix, Terms, and Nemo.
• Experience using crowd-sourced data, analytics, and tools.
• Smartsheets.
• IBM Cognos report studio.
• MS Power BI.
• Python and programming/automation.
• AWS/Google Cloud platforms.
