Senior ​State Accountant: Activity Control at South African Department of Correctional Services

REQUIREMENTS :

• An appropriate three-year national diploma or degree in Finance with Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and or Financial Information System as major subjects. 3-5 years’ relevant finance/tax experience. Computer literate. Valid driver’s licence.

DUTIES :

• Exercise control over expenditure items. Ensuring balancing of the internal charges concept. Control over the revenue items.
• Responsible for checking expenditure against allocated budget. Manage the office. Execute responsibilities of officials as stipulated in Section 45 of the PFMA.
• Maintenance of departmental activity procedures. Management of human resources, finance and assets.
