Senior Supervisor (Buildings) at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the buildings under Regional Centres by supervising the caretaking, building maintenance, office cleaning and minor office relocating functions.

Key Responsibility Areas

•  Controls and co-ordinates the maintenance and usage functions of all buildings under Regional Centres.
•  Supervision and control of subordinate staff.
•  Provides input on budgetary issues for maintenance items to ensure adequate financial
• provision is made for the reasonable upkeep of the buildings.
•  Obtains quotations for outside purchases / service requisitions.
•  Implements safety standards by ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Essential Requirements

•  Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and an Administrative Certificate.
•  Valid motor vehicle driving license.
•  3 Years relevant experience.
•  Computer Literacy.

Preferred Requirements

•  Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Facilities or Building Management or any other related and equivalent qualification.
•  4 Years relevant experience.

•  Be able to work after hours.
