Key Performance Output

The successful candidate for King Shaka International Airport will be reporting to the Senior Operations Coordinator, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Manage availability of assets through continuous monitoring and verification.
• Procurement of assets to meet supply and demand targets.
• Proactive planning to ensure supply and demand targets are met.
• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Analyse and trend operational activities to create efficiency.
• Draft and implement contingency plan.
• Regular testing of contingency plans to ensure operational relevance.
• Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
• Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Respond to compliance audit findings and implement appropriate action.

Managing the company's risk exposure through identifying, implementing and maintaining risk control measures to minimise company's liability.

• Compile, manage and monitor OPEX and CAPEX budget.
• Provide input into workforce planning and implement approved labour plans to ensure team is suitably staffed to meet sub-functional objectives.
• Participate in people development initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, talent management etc. to ensure team performance meet required standards.
• Plan, schedule and supervise / co-ordinate subordinate activities within processes or services to achieve efficiency and quality goals.
• Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals. Implement remedial actions where required.
• Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience will be required:

• Diploma in Logistics/ Facilities Management /Operations is essential. 
•  4 years Business Operations experience is essential.
•  1 year of Airport Operations Supervisory experience is essential.
