The opportunity
- As a LoB leader you will be responsible for sourcing opportunities, developing proposals, growing and managing the supply chain team, delivering projects, providing world class managed services to our SMME clients, the development of solutions and capabilities which differentiate IQbusiness in the market, thought leadership and the overall P&L for the Supply Chain LoB
- As a senior consultant your role will be to lead projects within client engagements and be a subject matter expert to drive out transformational initiatives. You will work independently as well as in teams at our clients, supporting them with improving their business performance. You will use your quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to help structure and analyse the problems of the client, and report the findings and results. You will use your years of experience to suggest viable alternatives based on prior experience.

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll balance internal and external responsibilities, comprising client, business development support, operational and personal development.
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships to increasingly become a trusted point of contact in Supply Chain and Operations
- Lead projects to complete deliverables within your remit
- Be an active member of a core project team, providing significant Subject Matter Expertise, often working with others from different parts of IQbusiness
- Contribute to the development of proposals to showcase some of our leading practices
- Maintain a personal development program to continually enhance your technical and consulting skills
As a LoB lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Supply Chain LoB scales quickly providing the right products and solutions to our clients.
- Build a presence in the African market whereby IQbusiness Supply Chain is seen as the imminent provider of Outsource and Logistic Solutions in Africa
- Build and manage a world class team focused on:
- The development opportunities within a broad client base
- The Delivery of successful transformational initiatives
- The building of long lasting relationship with our Client’s,
- The building of world class capabilities which differentiate IQbusiness in the market
- Provision of a managed service to SMME organisations by linking up the world class capabilities derived.
- Deliver on the revenue and profit imperative for the Supply Chain LoB
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
- Proven track record of implementing end to end supply chain projects inclusive of transforming Processes, Technology and People
- Proven track record of managing people and growing high performing teams
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a Senior Management Position
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in a Supply Chain environment (Consulting or business)
- A Master's degree preferably in the field of Business, Operations management, Supply Chain Management or a technical/engineering discipline or similar studies.
- An analytical and a structured way of working, you are strong in conceptual thinking and you have a great drive and are enthusiastic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to engage effectively with peers and senior stakeholders.
- Proactive and energetic, with innovative qualities that enable high quality work to be delivered often in relatively short timeframes.
- Fluent language skills in English
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A significant network of clients/contacts within the supply chain environment in Africa
- An open and flexible mindset on working abroad.
