    Senior Support Engineer for SAP Technology / Technical Architect in Premium Hub CoE

    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

    • The strength of our Centers of Expertise (CoE), as part of Customer Services and Delivery, is to analyze customer solutions with 360° view on relevant components including application, database and technology, as well as engaging a strong back office support for every customer engagement, providing Expertise on Demand, instant resolution of top pain points and fast access to best practices/information plus instant quality assurance of recommendations and the improvement plan.
    • In the role of a Expert/Senior Support Engineer, you will work in the Center of Expertise (CoE) with focus on SAP Technology, specifically Software Logistics, Technical Architecture and HANA, Basis, Cloud and deliver services for every aspect of customers' software implementation, transformation or upgrade project, as well as on operations, including continuous improvement, quality management, problem resolution, and knowledge transfer.

    EXPECTATION AND TASKS

    Your role involves delivery of technical and application services within customer engagements. You need good SAP Technology, Basis and HANA capabilities, and you are a decent problem solver with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment. According to your experience, strengths and customer needs, you will conduct some of the following tasks:

    • Be actively involved in the preparation, conception, realization, and Go Live of customer implementation projects
    • Demonstrate the ability to plan, run, and manage blueprint workshops/meetings with internal and external clients
    • Assisting in defining the scope of a project/opportunities, estimating efforts and project timelines
    • Analyze business processes including root cause analysis and technical performance optimization
    • Upgrade and migration of SAP systems
    • ABAP and/or JAVA code optimization
    • SAP HANA Installation, Upgrades and Migrations
    • Transition to Hyperscalers
    • Plan Large Scale Transformation Programs from a Technical Perspective

    MANDATORY SKILLS

    • At least 10 years of SAP Technology implementation experience or support experience
    • At least 10 years experience with SAP ABAP and JAVA based netweaver systems 
    • University degree in computer science, business information technology, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent
    • Experience in performance analysis, databases, hardware layouts and components, networks, IT upgrade and migration planning
    • Experience in Installing and Operating SAP HANA
    • Experience with RDBMS databases like MSSQL, SAP HANA, Oracle or DB2
    • Programming skills in at least one language e.g. (ABAP, JAVA, C, C++, SQL or similar)
    • Ability to drill down into technical issues and solve complex and detailed problems
    • Experience with SAP Integration Technologies and BTP
    • Ability to deliver clear, concise presentations and present complex information in a clear and precise manner
    • Willingness and ability to travel to customers 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Experience in working with cross-cultural teams or individuals
    • Experience in working with cross-functional teams

    PREFERABLE SKILLS

    • Experience with Linux and Unix
    • Transition of SAP Systems to SAP HEC, MS Azure, AWS or similar
    • Sizing and Landscape Design
    • Experience in managing escalations and critical customer situations
    • Experience with S/4HANA Implementation or Conversions
    • Travel:0-70% to clients
