• In the role of a Expert/Senior Support Engineer, you will work in the Center of Expertise (CoE) with focus on SAP Technology, specifically Software Logistics, Technical Architecture and HANA, Basis, Cloud and deliver services for every aspect of customers' software implementation, transformation or upgrade project, as well as on operations, including continuous improvement, quality management, problem resolution, and knowledge transfer.

EXPECTATION AND TASKS

Your role involves delivery of technical and application services within customer engagements. You need good SAP Technology, Basis and HANA capabilities, and you are a decent problem solver with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment. According to your experience, strengths and customer needs, you will conduct some of the following tasks:

• Be actively involved in the preparation, conception, realization, and Go Live of customer implementation projects
• Demonstrate the ability to plan, run, and manage blueprint workshops/meetings with internal and external clients
• Assisting in defining the scope of a project/opportunities, estimating efforts and project timelines
• Analyze business processes including root cause analysis and technical performance optimization
• Upgrade and migration of SAP systems
• ABAP and/or JAVA code optimization
• SAP HANA Installation, Upgrades and Migrations
• Transition to Hyperscalers
• Plan Large Scale Transformation Programs from a Technical Perspective

MANDATORY SKILLS

• At least 10 years of SAP Technology implementation experience or support experience
• At least 10 years experience with SAP ABAP and JAVA based netweaver systems 
• University degree in computer science, business information technology, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent
• Experience in performance analysis, databases, hardware layouts and components, networks, IT upgrade and migration planning
• Experience in Installing and Operating SAP HANA
• Experience with RDBMS databases like MSSQL, SAP HANA, Oracle or DB2
• Programming skills in at least one language e.g. (ABAP, JAVA, C, C++, SQL or similar)
• Ability to drill down into technical issues and solve complex and detailed problems
• Experience with SAP Integration Technologies and BTP
• Ability to deliver clear, concise presentations and present complex information in a clear and precise manner
• Willingness and ability to travel to customers 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• In the role of a Senior/Export Support Engineer Logistics (Architect/Solution Architect), depending on your experience, you will work in the Center of Expertise (CoE) with focus on S/4HANA and as Logistics Architect. Your experience in several logistics modules (MM, PM, PP, QM, SCM, EWM/TM) will assist you deliver services for every aspect of customers' software implementation, transformation or upgrade project, as well as on operations, including continuous improvement, quality management, problem resolution, and knowledge transfer.
• Our team primarily focuses on assessing SAP S/4 HANA solutions incl. functional and technical design, performance critical processes, assessment of implemetation, monitoring during testing and GoLive, planning the digital transformation.

• A minimum of 5 full cycle SAP implementations for the Expert Support Engineer Position, a minimum of 3 for the Senior Support Engineer Position
• Strong solution know how in one of the following areas: PM, PP, MM, ARIBA, EWM/TM, SD vast experience in 1 or across several supporting/manufacturing industries like Oil&Gas, Automotive etc. is
• University degree in computer science, business information technology, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent
• Ability to drill down into technical issues and solve complex and detailed problems
• Ability to deliver clear, concise presentations and present complex information in a clear and precise manner
• Willingness and ability to travel to customers

ROLE OVERVIEW

• Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the Company’s annual revenue and booking quota for assigned territory. Identifies, develops, and retains new business relationships. Develops sales opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging third party relationships. Responsible for sales account management and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve sales objectives primarily through selling SAP Signavio software solutions to new customers and also through sales of additional services to new customers
• Develops and maintains an effective business, sales, and marketing plan for assigned territory
• Develops sales strategies that link prospect’s business drivers to SAP 
• Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow up, networking and partner relationships
• Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close

• Work with pre-sales team when technical or product support is required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in a business or technical related area of study
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience selling SaaS/ Cloud solution, quota carrying role.
• Experience selling business process management and enterprise applications
• Business Transformation Management experience 
• Expertise dealing with complex sales cycle
• English language fluency is mandatory
• Mandatory knowledge and extensive exposure of the local region

THE SAP YOUNG PROFESSIONALS PROGRAM

• The SAP Young Professionals Program is a free initiative delivered by the Digital Skills Center of SAP. The program, which lasts for 2 months, is designed to give recent graduates the certifications and soft skills required to begin a career as an SAP Associate Consultant. At the end of the training, SAP will work very closely with the program graduates to introduce them to a host of opportunities with SAP customers and partners to work as an SAP Consultant.

• The role of an SAP Consultant can be divided into 2 functions: Functional and Technical.

• As an Expert Specialist Solution Advisor, you will drive the selection and adoption of SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning in our customers. YOUR PROFILE

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen or work permit for South Africa. SAP is committed to the principles of employment equity.
• Honours degree in Information Systems or Accounting.
• 7+ years of professional work experience in finance, enterprise IT, IT consulting, IT presales or a combination of these, including at least 3 years of experience implementing or using a budgeting and forecasting system.

Job Requirements

• Willing to work in SAP’s Woodmead, Johannesburg office 5 days a week if required.
• Willingness to travel in Africa and the Middle East for up to 30% of working time.
