We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team, focusing on systems analysis, business analysis, and application analysis within complex enterprise environments, particularly in the banking or financial services sector. This role will involve deep engagement with existing applications and legacy systems, often working with incomplete documentation, to uncover their functionalities and potential improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct current-state analysis to evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
Engage in reverse-engineering of applications where documentation is lacking, outdated, or fragmented.
Perform impact and root-cause analysis to aid in problem resolution and system enhancements.
Model processes, services, integrations, and data flows to support business needs.
Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the systems align with business objectives.
Develop and document comprehensive functional specifications for system modifications and enhancements.
Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation purposes.
Leverage SQL and Azure to support data integrations and application development initiatives.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience in systems analysis, technical business analysis, software engineering, or application analysis within a complex enterprise environment.
Proven capability in reverse-engineering applications and legacy platforms with limited documentation.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on current-state analysis, impact analysis, and root-cause analysis.
Proficiency in modelling processes, services, integrations, and data flows.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL, and Azure is essential.
Experience in .Net framework and application development is a plus.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
A relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications in systems analysis, business analysis, or relevant technologies are advantageous.
Previous experience working in a banking or financial services environment.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
