Senior UI/UX Designer at OneCart

Are you an out of the box/energetic UX/UI designer that's looking for an opportunity in a budding Tech Company!?

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the interfaces of all internal and external systems within the company and ensuring that each end-to-end customer journey is pleasant for the relevant end users. You will be required to visualize our customers’ requirements in line with the brand’s strengths to produce interfaces that facilitate delightful, user-friendly experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a usability-focused outlook and ensure the voice of the internal and external customer is represented
• Join and get involved in design workshops across the company departments to thoroughly understand the requirements
• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Do a detailed analysis of project outcomes and map back to Customer Experience outcomes to determine the gap
• Determine gaps between customer satisfaction and drive Customer Journey outcomes
• Align initiatives to company strategy to determine priority and drive customer centricity
• Drive deep analysis and implementation of customer-centric experiences
• Subsequently, present and defend your design decisions
• Create, continuously improve, and use wireframes, prototypes and style guides to effectively communicate your interaction ideas and provide the dev team with the relevant design resources.
• Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widget
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Create wireframes, storyboards, walkthroughs and paper prototypes to communicate your design to the rest of the team
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI design
• Develop experience audits from other industries that can influence our own products
• Continually keep yourself and your technical teams updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards
• Collect and document research relevant to new digital experiences OneCart is considering
• Translating business priorities into research questions and design insights
• Share best practices on creating customer centric experiences using UX standards
• Maintain robust and usable components libraries, from foundational elements to more complex components
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Take ownership of driving your career development (skills and knowledge)
• Plan and priorities, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands to achieve agreed deliverables
• Communicate effectively, maintain relationships
• Follow any lawful and reasonable instruction from your line manager
• Act as part of the Product team by assisting other members of the team to achieve common goals

• Timely reporting of all instances of suspected or proven fraud via the appropriate reporting channel
• Adherence to the company policies and associated company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

• Computer science/engineering degree (or equivalent).
• At least 5+ years of experience with React or React-native
• At least 5+ years of experience with Node.js
• Experience setting up and using CI/CD pipelines
• Must be able to work in a team and in a social environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks
• Experience working with server less
• Experience with AWS
• Experience working with software development tools including Git, Jira and Confluence, postman
