    Service Sales Representative

    Responsible for meeting assigned sales targets for repairs, retrofits, hoists and other light lifting equipment, spare parts, in-house repairs, general overhauls and consultation services for assigned areas of responsibility; activities includes managing sales cases (from opportunities to won offers), customer communications and relationships, contact data as well as our sales funnel, sales force and account management

    • Promotes and sells the organizations products and services within an assigned geographic area / product range or list of customer accounts to achieve sales targets.
    • Utilises current CRM systems in the sales process efficiently and reports on leads and sales activities regularly.
    • Persues sales leads, visits existing and new customers, assesses customer needs and suggests appropriate products and services, respond to customer enquiries, negotiates prices and delivery times and concludes sales orders.
    • Identifies, researches and contacts prospective customers and builds positive relationships generating future sales and repeat business.
    • Strict adherence to the organizations quotation and order receipt process flows in line with the sales handbook guidelines. Refers detailed sales leads to the back office support team for clear and effective quotation preparation. Assists the back office support team with clear and effective quotation preparation as required.
    • Refers customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization.
    • Identifies leads for other business units, promotes cross selling activities and culture in the organization.
    • Establishes annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly sales plans and prioritises and schedules own activities ensuring sales targets are met. Develops sales plans with key clients.
    • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. Participates in trade shows and conventions as and when required.
    • Responsible for sales cases and/or account actions as needed to support activities generated or identified by inside sales, particularly for priority and protect and develop assigned accounts. Refer opportunities for other product types to relevant sales resources by creating sales cases.
    • Responsible for cross-functional operations, ensuring all tasks are completed according to sales and marketing strategies.
    • To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts, Regulations and applicable Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
    • Report all hazards, incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures;
    • Participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace.
    • Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority
       

    Key Job Requirements:

    Qualification/Education:

    • National Higher Diploma (NQF level 6) in sales or electrical/mechanical engineering
    • Valid driver’s license

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • 5+ years work experience in industrial service environment
    • Sound technical background
    • Experience in sales management and business development process
    • Commercial Savvy
    • Must be able to work in confined spaces; elevated areas and at heights
    • Must be able to travel locally and outside SA for operational requirements
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Experience working with customer relations management (CRM) or similar tools
