SHE Coordinator -Richards Bay at Bidvest Tank Terminals

Job Advert Summary    

• Bidvest Tank Terminals has an opportunity for a SHE Coordinator. This opportunity exists within the SHE department, based in Richards Bay, reporting to the SHE Manager. The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria

Minimum Requirements    

• Matric
• National Diploma in Safety Management or SAMTRAC
• 3-5 years of administrative experience in the HSE field
• Good knowledge of OHS Act 85 of 1993, environmental legislation, and ISO 14001/45001 standards
• Advanced Excel with sound graph/ analytical experience
• Advanced PowerPoint Presentation skill
• Analytical report writing experience
• Preferably a valid code B driver’s license

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Responsible for the Scheduling of all SHE meetings
• Responsible for minute-taking of all SHE meetings, i.e. SHE Committee and any other meetings in the HSE Department
• Ensure all actions stemming from the meetings are loaded on IsoMetrix and/or Scientrix
• Ensure all legal appointments are done as per the approved SHE structure
• Produce reports and presentations as and when required
• Create and receipt purchase requisitions/orders on SAP
• Manage SHE-related consumables for the region
• Arrange departmental lunches as required
• Arrange visitors’ permits and PPE as and when required
• Assist in arranging onsite and offsite SHE events, i.e. wellness Day, safety conversations, etc.
• Manage all SHE-related payment request forms
• Participate in the communication news committee on behalf of SHE
• Liaise with Finance and Procurement departments regarding queries and orders
• Prepare certificates for regional management awards
• Filing of SHE documentation
• Plan and participate in the SHE department walkabouts and inspections
• Capture and track actions from site walkabouts and inspections
• Consolidate SHE reports as required
• Assist in updating SHE-related signage and communications
• General office administration
• Responsible for tracking and recording of electricity and water usage for sustainability reporting
• Consolidate and submit ESG data to Compliance
• Ensure all recoverable costs are handed over to the relevant department for invoicing (usage, electricity, water, etc.)
• Ensure all meters are functional and faulty equipment are reported to maintenance for repairs
• Co-ordinate permanent contractors and manage consumables
• Mark, check & receive contractor consumables and ensure the correct service is done
• Any other duty that is in the interest of BTT that is deemed legal and lawful
