SHE Officer - Somerset West at Helderberg Personnel

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Safety Management or similar
• 3 – 5 years experience in a safety function
• Proven knowledge of OHSA
• Demonstrated knowledge of HIRA and incident investigation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Implementation and monitoring of SHE management system
• Schedule and execute audits and ensure valid certification
• Carry out risk assessments on a continuous basis
• Provide SHE training, awareness and induction
• Keep SHE statistical records
• Contractor Management
• Reporting
• Incident Investigation
• Implement accident prevention and environmental impact activities
• Implement emergency and crisis management plans
• Act as emergency coordinator
• Weekly and monthly checklist verification
• Arrange and chair safety meetings
• PPE Management, laundry and cleaning of facilities
• People Management
• Ensure minimum OHSA legislative requirements are met
