Criteria:

• Finance / Cost & Management Accounting Diploma (minimum requirement) / B. Com Accounting would be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping in a manufacturing environment

• Experience in bookkeeping up to Trial Balance in Pastel Partner V19
• Strong data analytical skills
• Strong financial and administrative background
• Knowledge of foreign currency and imports

Core responsibilities: 

• Financial
• Complete all company bookkeeping and financial administration functions to Trial Balance
• Processing of creditors – supplier invoices, goods received, monthly reconciliations and preparation of month end file for payments.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management reports
• Preparation of annual budgets
• Statutory reports and certificates: STATS SA and BEE
• Intercompany journals and provisions

Assisting HR:

• Filing physical and digital documentation
• Maintaining the HR database

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (Creditors):

• Process invoices received from suppliers promptly and accurately.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
• Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain organized records of all transactions.

Accounts Receivable (Debtors):

• Generate and send invoices to customers for goods or services rendered.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with customers for timely payments.
• Handle billing queries and address customer inquiries professionally.
• Record and allocate payments received, ensuring accuracy.
• Regularly review accounts receivable aging reports and take necessary actions.

General Financial Support:

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment and billing issues.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to creditors and debtors.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Creditors and Debtors Clerk or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements:

• Young, vibrant BEE candidate with a valid driver's license. This is an entry level position.
• Fluent in Xhosa or Zulu and English

Requirements / The Ideal Candidate should have at least the following:

• Good working knowledge of GlobalGAP and related add-ons
• Good working knowledge of SIZA sustainability protocols (ethical & environmental)
