SHEQ Manager 

EarthStream Global is representing a mining contracting company that provides material handling, screening services to the mining industry as well as mobile crushing solutions for remote project sites. They are currently looking to employ an experienced Health and Safety Manager to create and safeguard a healthy, safe, and sustainable work environment for all employees. As the Health and Safety Manager reporting to the Managing Director, your main responsibility will be to maintain an effective Health and Safety risk management strategy and drive continuous improvement towards Zero Harm and ensure that a resilience culture in Safety and Health is grown and maintained.

The successful candidate will meet the following key selection criteria:

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Degree (safety, environmental, engineering, or equivalent).
• 5 - 8 years in a similar role within the mining, construction environment.
• Knowledge and background of the Mine Health & Safety Act as well as the Construction Health & Safety Act.
• Demonstrated Risk Management Knowledge and Skills.
• Understanding of Process safety fundamentals.
• Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
• SHEQ Systems - Evaluation and integration (Auditing), SHEQ Legal knowledge.
• Cross boarder regional exposure is an added advantage
• Must be willing to travel extensively
