    SHEQ Manager - Plastic Injection Moulding Manufacturing (66984)

    Job Description

    • Our client, a leading rigid plastics manufacturer specialising in plastic injection moulding, is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and drive the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality functions across the business. 
    • This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System, Health & Safety programmes, ISO compliance framework and operational excellence initiatives.

    Essential Requirement

    Plastic Injection Moulding Experience is non-negotiable

    • Candidates must have proven experience within a plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment and possess a strong technical understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling, quality standards, production controls and manufacturing methodologies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the SHEQ function across the manufacturing operation
    • Drive quality, safety and environmental strategies aligned with business objectives
    • Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and related management systems
    • Lead internal and external audits, customer audits and certification processes
    • Manage NCR, CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Reduce customer complaints, scrap, waste and quality-related costs
    • Ensure legal compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
    • Develop SHEQ policies, procedures and standards
    • Provide SHEQ reporting and KPI analysis to senior management
    • Lead, coach and develop the SHEQ team
    • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

    Minimum Requirements

    • Relevant Degree or NQF Level 7 qualification in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management or related field
    • Minimum 8 years' SHEQ / Quality Management experience within plastics manufacturing
    • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor & certification, with proof of logged hours.
    • Proven leadership experience managing SHEQ functions at a strategic level
    • Strong project management and continuous improvement experience
    • Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements
    • Experience leading customer, ISO and third-party audits, reporting, analytical and stakeholder management skills
