SHEQ Practitioner Risk & Standards (Steelpoort) at Samancor Chrome

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Facilitate the revision of current Procedures, Codes of Practice as well as the Risk Assessment process in order for the Site to fully understand and manage the risks so that it can achieve its objective of Zero Harm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

• Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox.
• Utilize the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.

CUSTOMERS 

• Ensure Customer Satisfaction

BUSINESS PROCESSES

• Facilitate Risk Assessments based on external and internal influences.
• Monitor behaviour in line with expectations.
• Develop learning interventions to support implementation of Risk Assessment System requirements and facilitate Risk Assessment training courses.
• Conduct internal Risk Audits and monitor and report closure on Risk Audit findings.
• Report on the Performance of Risk Assessment Systems and make recommendations on findings.
• Investigate Significant Incidents
• Facilitate the implementation of the Risk Assessment Process
• Report Risk statistics and information
• Facilitate the revision of Standard Operating Procedures, Codes of Practice as well the drafting of new document

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum requirements: 

• Recognized qualification in risk management, preferably degree or diploma.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience.
• Proficiency in English
• Very good and advanced computer literacy.
