Shift Supervisor Grout Plant - Thabazimbi at Murray & Roberts

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Effective supervision of the underground and surface Grout Plant crews
• Effective planning, leading, organising and control within area of responsibility to achieve daily production, quality and safety targets
• Cost containment through effective budget management and efficient target achievement
• Accurate and timely reporting
• Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows and target achievement
• Efficient achievement of production and quality targets in line with DMR and project scope
• Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client's and M&RC's standards, procedures and policies
• Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC's values and leadership initiatives
• Self and team understand and comply with legal regulations and  M&RC’s standards, procedures, policies and safety protocols

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
• Blasting Certificate / Trade Certificate / Technical Diploma / Project Management Certificate (preferred
• Chargehand Grout Plant Certificate
• Possess either a recognised Shift Supervisor Certificate
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Good English written and verbal communication skills
• COMSOC 1 and 2 (advantageous
• Valid EB Driver’s License

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chargehand Grout Plant
• Exposure acting as a Shift Supervisor Grout Plant (advantageous)
• Experience compiling risk assessments and safe working procedures
• Experience conducting planned inspections
• Sound knowledge of Grout Plant operations, equipment and methods
